1) Tooth decay

2) Gum disease

This is also caused by bacteria in plaque. The gums tend to get inflamed and start bleeding due to the attack of these bacteria. If left untreated, it leads to pocket formation between the teeth and the gums, which at a later stage can result in the loss of teeth.
